Where solitude and nature meet.
Solitude is radical. Solitude is healing. Solitude is shared.
Emberwood is a radical community of practice where we learn skills to feel emotionally capable, strong, and psychologically well. We are…
>evidence based and follow best practice
>informed by queer ideologies & realities and are anti-colonial (pro abortion. pro trans. pro cake.)
> exploring radical approaches to mental health, psychology, and spirituality
>embracing non-hierarchal and non-pathologizing practices for building a community that prioritizes vulnerability, honesty, and healing.
>committed to showing up irl when we can, mutual aid practices, radical accessibility, and knowing that the personal is political.
Emberwood is a non-hierarchal and non-pathologizing collective that engages therapeutically with solitude and nature.
We facilitate therapeutic group experiences, guest lecture at post-secondary institutes, provide professional development and continuing education sessions, present key note sessions and provide pulpit supply for radically inclusive spiritual organizations, and offer a small number of 1-1 direct client support spaces each year.
Emberwood is the life work of Fergus Brooks-Starks and Jude Chaytors: solitude seekers, nature nerds, artists, writers, readers and queer folks who are learning to live in turbulent times. We love to create grounded containers and experiences where people can feel at ease with themselves.
