Blades of Glory

Experience the glory of wielding an axe glinting in the summer solstice sun, chopping wood with your own bare hands and or limbs. Brandish a hand-crafted chef’s knife and relish in the glory of slicing juicy fruits (aka vegan candy) paper thin. On the longest day of the year, this Summer Solstice, drop in at Stump Kitchen and Emberwood’s event…. BLADES OF GLORY.

Glorious features include:

Park in the Victoria Park Oval rink lot, head to the left side of the lot to find the road that snakes behind the skate shack (aka beautiful black and wood building). Follow that and you'll soon see us! Our goal is picnic shelter 3.

Optional things to bring:
- dress for the weather
- donation to help with food costs (free event tho)
- bug spray or loose fitting clothing/ blanket for potential bugs
- sunscreen, hat, water

Accessibility glory:
- cost: free (donation jar option to help cover costs)
- free parking
- carpool leaves 5:50 PM from the Grandin Station (RSVP to one of us to use this option)
- accessible gendered bathrooms very nearby in skate shack with button for the door. There is a single stall all gender bathroom but the door was locked last time.
- kid friendly! and wee park nearby
- 2-3 min distance down a flat, packed, smooth, car-wide path then onto grass for 30 sec
- benches and picnic tables to sit at
